There is a legend of the forest, a myth shaded by controversy, a secret amongst the trees. Beautiful and intrepid reporter SHAWNA LAKE is assigned to investigate whispered rumors of strange happenings deep in the local forest (concerning women disappearing. . . ). Those voices speak of an ancient tree that turns into . . . something else. Shawna's alone, save for her trusty (is he really?) cameraman. Can he save her before it's too late? Or is he an additional threat? Shawna, inquisitive by nature, finds herself at the mercy of this mysterious malevolence--bound and gagged many times--in the dead of night as well as during the day, always outside where no one can find her (let alone save her)! She even finds herself tightly ball-tied in the trunk of a car (and we won't tell you why!). With cameo by TYLER MCNEIL as the friend who also experiences the strange truth.
